However, the dough recipe does not work!!!!! It is mushy and is not nearly enough dough to make 2 9-inch pizzas. I use the Betty Crocker pizza dough recipe instead:Dissolve one packet of yeast and one Tablespoon sugar in one cup very warm water. Stir til dissolved. Let sit until yeast bubbles; about five minutes.Add 3 Cups flour, 3 Tablespoons oil, 1 teaspoon salt.Knead for five minutes by hand or in KitchenAid mixer with dough hook on lowest speed.Let rest about 30 minutes, until doubled in size approximately.Divide in half. Make a ball with each half and flatten each into a 9-inch circle with slighly built up edges to be the crust. Do this on a lightly floured surface, and dust your hands with flour too so the dough doesn't stick to them. Put the toppings on and bake.I turned my oven on to 500 and cooked the pizzas on the middle rack. Took about 20 minutes each. It just doesn't compare to a wood fired oven, but the results were still great!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.Four StarsBy BigboyHad the recipe I was looking for.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.Be prepared for a bit of complexityBy Monsieur ZacconeThis is a wonderful cookbook and REALLY does tell you how to make the CPK pizzas true to ones we enjoy at CPK.You should be aware of a few things:1) Buy a Pizza Stone, it makes the pizzas cook better2) Be prepared for a bit of work. Making the dough the way they say takes longer than a day, since you have to let the dough sit, rise, punch it down, let it rise and so on.3) The sauces and ingredients are accurate, but, wow, some of them aren't so easy to make. I love the Tandoori Chicken Pizza, but between making that and my wife's Garlic Shrimp Pizza, it took me 4 hours!Is the payoff worth the effort Well, seeing that a Pizza at CPK costs, what, around 12 bucks, its cheaper to go there and get it.
