As with her previous books, character takes center stage and with the fun cast she's created, it's a great show to watch er, read.I've read all of Ms. McShane's books on now and highly recommend each. It is more suspenseful and doesn't have as many story arcs, but the writing and character development don't suffer at all. It is wrapped up a bit too neatly at the end for me, but I did enjoy the novel a lot.There are some more adult themes in this one including rape/child abuse/drug use. I don't think it's too adult for a teen, but it is something I like to mention in case it is a trigger for anyone. It is not the main point of a story, but it is a part of the overall world in which this character lives. The main character is also (basically) sexually assaulted at one point, but it isn't dwelled on.See all 21 customer reviews...
